| PREPARING YOUR VEHICLE |
To avoid any problems with your auto delivery, the following precautions should be taken:
| Document your vehicle's condition |
Take a complete documentation of any physical blemishes of your vehicle. The United Road driver will provide you the documentation needed for this.
| Do not leave personal items in your vehicle |
The Department of Transportation does not allow auto shippers to carry anything in your vehicle other than automotive goods. Any other household goods are not allowed to be transported. In addition, your vehicle cannot exceed its standard gross weight, or you will be charged a $250 overweight fee. Excess personal items in your vehicle or trunk can attribute to this. In addition, auto carrier insurance does not cover your personal items left in the vehicle.
| Leave a quarter tank of gas in your vehicle |
| This will cover the limited driving needed of your vehicle on and off the carrier truck. Leaving more than a quarter a tank of gas can be hazardous and is considered excessive. |
